When making a new year’s resolution it’s not just about motivation, the more belief you have in yourself the more you will keep going, the less belief you have in yourself the quicker you will quit. Step 1 Decide what you wish to change in your life. If there is more than one thing make a list and prioritize which you would like to do first and inset a timescale.
Step 2 Find a reason to make the change and build a case for why you want to do it (build motivation).
Step 3 Ask yourself if you believe you can make the change or if you think you will fail. Be honest with yourself so that you don’t set yourself up to fail.
Step 4 Seek support if you feel you can’t make the change because you need help with motivation or self-belief. Use family, friends, or professional help to motivate and support you and to make sure you believe in yourself being successful.
Step 5 Make the change you desire. Making sure to set small achievable goals that build to your desired outcome. Remember to congratulate yourself on your successes and not to beat yourself up on any bumps in the road.
