A lot of our personality is a result of our childhood and how we are brought up. If our parents used food as a reward for good behavior or as an emotional pick me up then the subconscious learned that whenever it deserves a reward or it has had a bad day, then it has learned to turn to food. However, hypnotherapy can help control and replace these old ways of thinking and give you a new way of effective weight management.

Even if you want to lose weight your subconscious mind may have all these bad habits that it automatically turns too which is a part of the reason, we have all the cravings and desires for unhealthy foods and why so many people struggle to lose weight or eat healthily.

Your body may crave food but unless your pregnant it is not your body craving junk food it is your subconscious mind that is creating this craving. Your body just craves food when hungry and the subconscious will convert that hunger into cravings and will use the eating habits of the past to create cravings for unhealthy foods. Resolve and commitment alone can be enough for some people to lose weight and keep it off but unless you are aware of your bad habits, they will be hard to change. Bad habits such as being taught to clear your plate instead of stopping when you feel full only teaches your body to keep eating when it no longer needs to.
